The Voice of Treason

Have I betrayed or am I betrayed?
Wherefore do I ponder thus
Whether I am at fault or not?

A snake in the grass is found
By the disturbing of the blades
Not its hiss or venomous bliss.

In turpitude I revel unhinged,
Cackling. What am I to believe
If truth is circumvented forsooth?

Leer I at your consorts unknowing.
Sneer at your smile that in its light hoards.
Leeching my will with touch so still.

Tease my heart with crows' feathers.
Rend my trust as I have yours.
But do you see in in me your fault in deed?
